Case Study: Astrid & Miyu – Bespoke Charm Mailer Boxes
Jewellery brand Astrid & Miyu reached out to us via our website with an exciting campaign in the pipeline. They were launching a new Personalisation collection and were looking to create something special to support the campaign—a premium mailer box that felt as charming as the collection itself.
The Brief
Astrid & Miyu were after a high-end, custom presentation box that could be used to promote their new range. While we later spotted the mailer being used in a competition giveaway, it was clear from the quantities and dispatch addresses that these boxes were also part of a wider marketing effort—possibly gifted to influencers, stylists, or key press contacts across the UK and US.
From the outset, the creative direction was clear: they were after something sleek and silver, inspired by the finish of an Airstream trailer—a reflective, clean aesthetic that felt modern, polished, and on-brand.
We met with their team several times to finalise the finishes and discuss how the jewellery would be presented within the box. Working closely together, we developed a spec that delivered impact while staying within budget. The final result was a silver foil-wrapped magnetic box with a bespoke foam fitment to securely hold the jewellery.
The Build
Box type: 4-part magnetic case & base
Material: White-lined board and greyboard
Wrap: 120gsm Peregrina Classics in Silver
Foil detailing: White foil to both the case and liner for a subtle, elegant effect
Fitment: Glued-in white closed-cell foam with silver topper and white foil
Outer mailer: Custom-fit boxes to ensure everything arrived in perfect condition
The client didn’t require visuals ahead of production, but we shared progress shots throughout the process so they could see everything coming together in real time.
The Result
The final mailers struck the perfect balance of luxury and brand identity. The shimmering silver exterior, clean white foil, and precise foam fitment created a memorable unboxing experience—ideal for building excitement around a major launch.
